Mountain Magic is proud to host the registered Serpentine paragliding launch site on our property along Touw River Road. This unique site is reserved exclusively for guests staying at Mountain Magic who are qualified pilots or visiting paragliders.
Launching from Serpentine offers a beautiful and peaceful flying experience. As you lift off, the landscape opens beneath you — winding rivers, lush forest valleys and rolling hills stretching toward the Indian Ocean. The surrounding scenery makes this one of the most scenic launch locations in the area.
Because the site is located directly on the property, guests have the rare advantage of being able to walk to launch, watch the weather from the deck, and head out for a flight when conditions line up. Few places offer accommodation with such direct access to a paragliding site.

- Map of Africa – Wilderness: One of the most iconic viewpoints in the Garden Route, the Map of Africa launch overlooks the Kaaimans River valley where the river forms the shape of the African continent. This site offers fantastic ridge soaring with incredible views over Wilderness and the coastline.
- Kleinkranz Ridge – Wilderness Coast: Located along the dunes east of Wilderness, Kleinkranz provides excellent coastal soaring when the sea breeze is working. Flights here often run along the length of the beach with uninterrupted ocean views.
